does anyone know what version of html is supported by the 2.2.2 version of the apache htp server? (seen at http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi )
ok, first of all, yes there are different versions of HTML. There is the original 1.1, and 2.0. i don’t know if there is anything newer, but if you learn html today, you will likely be learning 2.0. so no dynamic or extended html. second, i know that it’s the browser that needs to support the html version, but if you look at the apache site it says “is a powerful, flexible, HTTP/1.1 compliant web server” in there somewhere. the third answerer noticed that apparently. so yea…

We mainly use PostgreSQL with Apache on a FreeBSD system, but we would like our server to support MySQL also. Is that possible? Any server admin who can give a little help?

You can use any folder you like.
Change the entry under the “Document Root” section of your httpd.conf file to show the root point of your web site(s).
Remember to Restart apache after you change the entry.
Read the log files. They reveal much.

Ok. So I have obtained a static IP from no-ip for my apache http server. Problem is, instead of the static IP loading my apache hosted page it loads my DSL modem’s config page. How do I fix this?

I set up a virtual server at the following address with Apache:http://dev.local/dev_test.php
and yet when I try to access it, I get the following error:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /dev_test.php on this server.
Yet I can access the same file in htdocs without any difficulty. Why is this?
