I’m trying to get PHP to work on my computer, to do that I have been told to download apache.
I went to this site http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/misc/FAQ.html and there are 4 downloads, which one do I need?
I tried that Wamp thing, but the final directions have you type in http://localhost or something like that, only problem is that it comes back with nothing. Thanks for the help so far though.

I want to download particular directory that includes a lot of files from website via http. Going directory by directory and file by file is tedious task, so i was wondering if there is software that turns this downloading into easy 1-step process.
So i can download all website’s files at once and save them to my hard disk.
Is there such software?

I am trying to get a minimal installation of Apache web server. The reason for this is because, I plan on install it on a dedicated server and the only purpose is to serve basic image files. I need it to be as optimized as possible since it will be handling a few hundred of requests per second on average.
