Anyone Know How To Use Apache Server?

Hi, I’m trying to setup a server on my home computer using Apache Server, and I’m just not having any luck with it, it keeps giving me a bunch of bull. So, I was wondering if anyone out there could give me detailed instructions on how to set it up, or point me in the direction of a good tutorial.

    Try downloading xampp. You run that one program and it installs and sets up Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl. Your site’s home directory will be xampphtdocs. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.ht… (If you’re going to expose it to the world, go to the security page and fix things up. The default is for no security (no passwords, etc. Just go to http://localhost/)
