My interest is to provide websites for special events, such as weddings…I am learning the ropes still. I would like for people to be able to plan their events, share pictures, share videos, access to blogging, advertise their gift registries, create bio’s, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated…

I need a free web hosting service that lets me upload files created with front page. I need a free domain (username.freeweb.com will work). It has to be AD FREE.
I need a regular hosting service not a BLOG or MYSPACE.

I already tried the following ways, and don’t get them:

This one doesn’t give me any info after the DocumentRoot part:

I just want Apache (and PHP, if you want to spend some more time).

Is there more? If so what?

I have inheritted this website that is absolutely FULL of unused old files
How do I get rid of them.
I would like to pull on the indes.html file, sort of like pulling on a plant that is above ground and have all the “roots” the files that are attached to it come up out of the ground.
Clean all of the unused files out of the “hole” and then put index and all it’s roots back into the hole
